🔑 Why it’s hard to describe specific applications
An implant is essentially just a digital key to an application. What actually happens depends on the action that’s been programmed. The implant provides a unique ID – the reader then decides:
- ✅ “ID recognized” → power flows → action is executed
- ❌ “ID not recognized” → no power → no action
Which action that is, is entirely up to the user – anything is possible!

Everyone uses their implant differently. The best part: even if it’s not actively used, there are no drawbacks – the implant is invisible and you won’t feel it.
📡 Readers & technology
Every implant requires an active reader to function. The reader retrieves the data from the implant and triggers the programmed action.
For NFC implants (e.g. xNT, NeXT), an NFC-enabled smartphone can be used as a read/write device. Non‑NFC implants interact with other reader systems (e.g. door access systems).
âž• With a cloner, card data can be copied onto an xEM implant. âž• The xBT can also be read by special RFID readers (e.g. HALO) for temperature measurements.
