How the test works

Biological age vs. chronological age
More and more people want to know their so-called “biological age.” But what does that actually mean? In contrast to a person’s chronological age, which refers to the number of years since birth, the biological or epigenetic age indicates how old you actually are – from a biological perspective.
Chronological age and biological age do not always match, as there are many factors that can influence your biological age, such as chronic stress, exposure to pollutants, and smoking.
The epiAge test is a simple and convenient way to determine your biological age from the comfort of your home.
Requirements
The instructions state that you should not eat, drink, smoke, brush your teeth, rinse your mouth, or chew gum 30 minutes before collecting the saliva sample. In addition, you should avoid taking any collagen-containing substances on the day of sample collection.
Conducting the epiAge Test
Performing the test is extremely simple and takes only about 3 to 5 minutes. Thanks to the detailed and illustrated instructions, practically nothing can go wrong.




Test Registration
To ensure the sample is processed and correctly assigned to you, the test kit must be registered on the epiAge website. The process is quick and easy. Simply register your personal “Secure ID” included in the package on the website.
Test Evaluation
From the time the sample is returned, you need to wait approximately 3 to 4 weeks to receive your result via email.
The result report consists of a multi-page PDF document, with your personal biological age listed right on the first page.
In addition to the test evaluation, you will also learn more about the technical background of the methodology, i.e. how the analysis works, along with very helpful interpretation and action recommendations.

Ich war echt neugierig, ob das biologische Alter wirklich so viel aussagt – und wurde überrascht! Der Test war super easy, einfach Speichelprobe einschicken und nach ein paar Wochen kam ein richtig detaillierter Bericht. Mein biologisches Alter war 4 Jahre jünger als mein tatsächliches – das motiviert natürlich 😄 Jetzt passe ich Ernährung und Schlaf noch gezielter an. Total spannend, was man aus DNA alles rauslesen kann!
