Are you interested in an implant but don't know which one and need a little help in making a decision? Then the following text should help you.

The following text refers to " MultiPass implants ":

There are two types of interested parties: those who find the topic generally exciting and want to get started - without a clear idea ( Group A ). Or those who have very specific applications in mind ( Group B ).

Group A : 90% of our customers who do not yet have an implant start with the NFC implant  xNT,  the xSIID or the NeXT . Many want to put information (business card, wedding vows, emergency information, social media profile, etc.) on their implant and then be able to read or pass it on with a cell phone. This requires NFC (Near Field Communication), which the NFC implant  xNT  has on board. There is also a serial number (UID) on it, which you can use, for example, to do without a front door key (assuming you have a digital locking cylinder, e.g.  our RFID locking cylinder ), unlock your PC (with a  USB reader ), and automate many things that are compatible with the Mifare Ultralight standard. This NFC implant is as small as a grain of rice and can be injected under the skin in 2 seconds. Every piercer should be able to do this (if not, he or she should ask us first -  or we will do it ). A real all-rounder.

If you would like to have the same functions as the xNT, but a little more range (1-2 cm), we recommend the NFC implant  flexNT  . The more comfortable NFC implant. Same technology as the xNT (so it can do exactly the same thing, only better, because the antenna is larger).

Or you can choose the xSIID... similar functions to the xNT, but with LED light. That means it lights up when it is read. The successor xSIID2 will be available soon.

The choice is yours... very simple?... then you need the xNT ... with LED?... then take the xSIID . If you want more range, then you need the flexNT .
If you also want to cover the low frequency range because you can imagine doing something with it at some point... then choose the NExT .

Group B : Would you prefer an RFID implant for "outdoor use"? That is, outside your own four walls (e.g. gym, employee ID card, etc.), i.e. for locations that you cannot control yourself? Then you may need an RFID implant that is compatible with Mifare Classic or Mifare Desfire . You would first need to find out which system is in use there. Or is a low-frequency system installed? Then proceed as follows:

1st step:
Use the  RFID Diagnostic Card  to find out whether the system is high or low frequency ( hf  or  nf ). To do this, simply hold the card inconspicuously in front of the reader and see which side lights up (left = the system is low frequency; right = the system is high frequency). If it is a NF system, you need the RFID implant  xEM  (and possibly the  small blue cloner ). If the system is high frequency, you need to find out what standard is working there....

2nd step:
The best thing to do is to grab an Android phone with apps such as " NFC Tools " or " NFC TagInfo by NXP Info ", start the app and hold the phone directly on the card you want to replace. NFC TagInfo will now tell you what standard is installed there (Mifare Classic, Mifare Desfire, Legic etc.). If it says something about Mifare Classic, you need a Mifare Classic compatible implant (eg xM1). If it says something about Desfire... well... then you need a Desfire implant (eg xDF2 or flexDF2). It's actually quite simple.

If the phone or the app does not respond... Step 3, otherwise you now know which implant you need.

Step 3:
Contact the access control administrator. Tell the person you would like to replace your card with an RFID implant and ask him or her to help you. What kind of system was installed? Mifare Classic, Desfire, maybe even Ultralight? If you're lucky, they will help you now. But sometimes they say... "we don't understand that", "we've never done it like that before", "we can't do that" etc... all excuses.

If you would like to have an RFID implant to   measure  your body temperature in a relaxed manner (keyword: "family planning"), then you need the xBT  and a small compatible reader (such as the  HALO ). This rice grain-sized RFID implant is often ordered by women to help them determine their fertile and infertile days. It's probably easier than always having to fiddle around with a thermometer.

For very special systems, the RFID implant xIC could even   be an option. A system administrator will tell you when you need the xIC. Compare the technical specs together. The RFID implant xIC is our smallest implant and supports the ISO15693 standard.

Do you want more security in your life? Then choose the Vivokey Spark .

Generally speaking, on the subject of "insertion" : All glass implants should be able to be inserted by any piercer, nurse, doctor, veterinarian, etc. (some customers even do it themselves). If we do it, for example, it takes less than 2 seconds (okay, with preparation and follow-up, maybe 5 minutes; with detailed explanation, it's more like 30 minutes). For flex implants, you should go to experienced body modders (piercing studios can help you here too) or even to a doctor.

NOTE : Please never (!!!) have an implant inserted if the packaging/bag says " Animal ID "! If in doubt, ask to see the packaged implant or syringe before inserting it. Animal ID implants are for ANIMALS and have no place in humans. The differences become visible under the microscope and when you want to remove the implant. In addition, initial tests indicate that  Animal ID implants can cause lead poisoning . So, keep your hands off  Animal ID  products when it comes to your body!

NFC  is an RFID standard that some manufacturers have agreed on for better compatibility. Every microchip implant is an RFID implant, but not every RFID implant supports the NFC standard.
