NB-DMT
1. Origin
Plant components containing DMT are traditionally used in South America to produce the ayahuasca potion, which is drunk by indigenous people in the Amazon basin as part of religious ceremonies. In Australia, plants containing DMT are also used by the Aborigines for ritual purposes.
2. Chemical properties
NB-DMT, also known as N-benzyl-dimethyltryptamine, is a chemical compound and a derivative of the hallucinogenic substance DMT (dimethyltryptamine). It differs from DMT in that it has an additional benzyl group attached to the nitrogen atom of the molecule. This modification leads to differences in the effect, binding affinity and metabolic properties compared to DMT.
Physiologically, it has a mildly stimulating effect and increases the heart rate and blood pressure. The effect depends on how it is taken: orally, as in ayahuasca, it begins after around 45 minutes and lasts for four hours. When smoked, the effect starts after about one minute, reaches its peak after two to five minutes and subsides after 20 to 60 minutes.
3. Storage
Store NB-DMT in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Lysergamides and tryptamines should ideally be stored at temperatures below 20 °C.
4. Safety instructions
A developing physical dependence on the NB-DMT product provided has not yet been proven by any research results. There is also no evidence to date of any damage to health or long-term effects. As always, the principle of careful and responsible use of this substance applies.
