What is Brainball?
- Have you ever heard that there is a form of competition in which it is not the fastest, strongest or fittest who wins, but the most concentrated, relaxed and focussed? Welcome to BRAINBALL.
- The playful realisation of a BCI (brain-computer interface) makes it possible.
- In Mindball, players can steer a ball into the opponent's goal using only concentration and relaxation - in other words, just the power of thought.
- Success can only be achieved through relaxation and concentration - two essential qualities in our hectic working world.
Method
- In Brainball, two players compete against each other as standard. The opponents sit opposite each other at a table and wear headbands fitted with sensors that measure their level of concentration.
- There is a ball on the table that reacts to the brain waves of both players. If one player is more focussed, it rolls in the direction of the more distracted player.
- The aim is to get the ball into the opposite target area. The brain waves are graphically displayed on a monitor for the spectators to follow.
