Benefits:
- Improve your sleep and relax your body.
- Strengthens the immune system and relieves pain.
- Increases blood circulation and lymphatic flow.

This fleece blanket absorbs, stores, and reflects your body’s IR + FIR wavelengths.
It is especially unique because it uses charred bamboo particles that are permanently woven into the yarn. These allow the IR wavelengths to be sent back to the user.
Additionally, FIR wavelengths are reflected using volcanic minerals printed on the back. Together, these innovative technologies enable the gentle transmission of energies that are absorbed through the skin into the tissues and organs of the body. Ideal for air travel, post-workout recovery, or cozy evenings at home—especially since users can fall asleep 15 to 20 minutes faster.
An additional benefit of anthracite-colored bamboo is the absorption of odors, which helps keep your blanket fresher for longer!

It’s not just visible light that comes from the sun.
White light can be split into a spectrum with many different wavelengths and colors. Visible light is only a part of a continuous spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. Our focus for regenerative IR + FIR textiles is on the invisible infrared and far-infrared light spectrum, which have identified benefits used in light therapy.
There is scientific evidence that infrared and far-infrared light spectrums have a biological effect on our body. The red light spectrum penetrates deeper into the skin than other light spectrums to reach the subcutaneous layer. It is this deeper penetration that allows the benefits to be so far-reaching. When the deeper cells are reached, photons can enter the bloodstream and circulate throughout the body. This blanket is designed to absorb the body’s own infrared and far-infrared rays. Instead of being dispersed, they are reflected back to the body to heal and regenerate.
Q & A
What is Infrared (IR) and Far Infrared (FIR)?
IR is a type of energy that is invisible to the human eye, but we can perceive it as heat. These waves occur at frequencies above microwaves and just below visible red light, hence the name "infrared," which means "beyond red."

What is Bioceramic?
In the context of textiles and fabrics, “bioceramic” can be defined as ceramic that has a type of biological function and can emit far-infrared rays. The key distinction is that the ceramic material can recycle and reflect the body’s displaced infrared radiation for general health purposes.
Bioceramic textiles are essentially infused with thermoreactive minerals (powders) that have been superheated and processed into fabrics. The ceramic particles in these fabrics are considered perfect absorbers that can help retain and re-emit the infrared rays emitted by the body—especially in the far-infrared (FIR) range. Examples of bioceramic powders that can be added to textile structures for this FIR re-emission benefit include:
- Magnesium oxide (MgO)
- Zirconium dioxide (ZrO2)
- Aluminum oxide (Al2O3)
- Iron III oxide (Fe2O3)
- Silicon dioxide (SiO2)
- Germanium
- Titanium dioxide (TiO2)
- Bamboo charcoal
- Nephrite
- Pearl powder
- Tourmaline
Bioceramics exhibit a high reflectance coefficient in the infrared radiation range—in other words, a large portion of the infrared radiation is utilized and reflected.
Is it important which side of the TrueLight ™ Regenerative IR + FIR Blanket faces the body when using it?
Yes, it is! Make sure the printed (back) side of the blanket faces down. This side of the blanket appears to have small honeycombs all over; these are the volcanic minerals permanently embedded into the fabric to help reflect IR + FIR to the body.
Although trees cast shadows, there are still some “sunny spots” where sunlight shines through the leaves. IR rays work similarly when passing through layers of clothing. Some energy is absorbed and reflected by clothing, but some still reaches your body.

If you’ve ever sat in the shade of a tree on a sunny day, you’ve probably felt an immediate difference—especially a warmth caused by the sun’s energy. Even if the temperature is the same, it may feel warmer because the IR rays from the sun are now hitting your body more directly. Likewise, it’s much easier to harness your body’s natural IR energy when you have direct skin-to-blanket contact.
When is the best time to use the TrueLight ™ Regenerative IR + FIR Blanket?
This blanket can be used at any time of day or night. Whether you’re relaxing at home, traveling, or recovering from strenuous physical activity, the TrueLight ™ Regenerative IR + FIR Blanket promotes cellular regeneration—even while you sleep!
Why is the TrueLight ™ Regenerative IR + FIR Blanket made of polyester fiber?
Polyester (PET) is a synthetic fiber that makes the material more durable and long-lasting than, for example, cotton. At the end of its long life, it can be recycled. When it comes to sustainability, don’t forget that reuse is a form of recycling, and polyester can be repurposed for various applications many times. Bioceramic technology only works with synthetic fibers that can be infused and bonded at the molecular level to ensure durability.
While most people prefer natural fibers, these have some drawbacks. For example, conventional cotton is extremely toxic to the environment. One pound of pesticides is used on the cotton fiber that makes up a single bedsheet! The use of organic cotton is still very sparse among most clothing and home goods manufacturers. Conventional cotton is widely used and grown with pesticides. In terms of durability, natural fibers are more fragile than synthetics. With regular use, the fibers wear out faster and are thus less sustainable than plastics.
How do I clean the TrueLight ™ Regenerative IR + FIR Blanket?
Wash separately in cold water. Use only chlorine-free bleach if needed. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not use fabric softener.
Will washing/cleaning the TrueLight ™ Regenerative IR + FIR Blanket affect its effectiveness?
No, regular washing and cleaning of this blanket does not affect its effectiveness. The bioceramic materials used in this blanket are permanently infused into the fabric’s yarn.
