flexSecure Java Card Implantat

Product information "flexSecure Java Card Implantat"

flexSecure is a developer-friendly in-vivo platform for digital identity, cryptography, and blockchain applications

flexSecure is a subdermal, contactless security implant that allows for a completely autonomous separation of your cryptographic keys and functions from vulnerable general-purpose computing platforms like your smartphone or computer. The ability to not only carry your OTP, PGP, and other cryptographic keys with you at all times but also to perform cryptographic functions in vivo (generate OTP codes, encrypt and decrypt data, etc.) without the NFC interface you interact with ever revealing your private keys is a major advancement for personal digital identity and data security.

flexSecure Kit Contents

Your flexSecure kit includes the following components.

  • Pre-sterilized flexSecure implant in Tyvek sterilization pouch
  • Special 4G (5 mm) flex installation needle (non-lubricated)
  • 1 packet of sterile surgical needle lubricant

Using your flexSecure

The flexSecure uses a SmartMX3 P71 chip from NXP. It comes with the factory-set master key and with ISD: A000000151000000 (OP_READY) and the card manager applet PKG: A0000001515350 (LOADED), and is thus ready for use with GlobalPlatformPro. Full documentation is available in the public repository at https://github.com/DangerousThings/flexsecure-applets/tree/master/docs.

flexSecure Applets

You are of course free to compile and load any applets you like, but we provide a repository of open-source applets and associated tools that you can find at https://github.com/DangerousThings/flexsecure-applets/. If you prefer an easy-to-use, app store-like solution for deploying and managing your in-vivo secure applications, you should check out Apex Flex.

WARNINGS

  • The P71 chip in the flexSecure allows only a handful of incorrect master key attempts before it permanently and irreversibly self-destructs. Changing the master key from the factory settings is necessary for security reasons, but if the key is lost, there is no recovery process. If the P71 is bricked, there is no recovery process. Proceed with caution.

  • The flexSecure is intended for advanced users. Compiling applets, deploying applets to the flexSecure, and using the flexSecure with various applications requires some mastery of the involved fields. We do not offer direct support in these areas, but the community forum will have a place for flexSecure discussions.

Professional Installation Instructions

flexSecure is approximately 7.5 mm wide and 28 mm long and has an average thickness of 0.4 mm. It should always be installed by a professional.

  • Do not place under a gripping surface (e.g., do not install on the palm).
  • Do not place over or parallel to joints (Flex devices are only "semi-flexible").

Important Information About Flex Products in General

  • The biopolymer is tested and certified to ISO 10993 and USP Class IV. However, the end product has not been tested after processing, meaning material changes during processing could make the final product unsafe in some way.

  • There is no “preferred” location for implanting a Flex device. Customers are free to implant a Flex device anywhere in the body as long as it is in the fascial layer between the dermis and muscle tissue and not in a flexing area or under a gripping surface. However, the side or edge of the hand is not recommended due to the high tension in that area. Determine the best and safest location for your Flex device together with the installer.
